Joh. Friedrich Behrens AG has been writing its success story in fastening technology for over 100 years. This began in 1910 in the Port of Hamburg. There Johann Friedrich Behrens founded an import and export company. Later he went into the production of staples. In 1945 the reconstruction began with a few rolls of wire, a stapling machine and a customer file. With the move to Ahrensburg in 1951, the company quickly grew with staplers and staples. With exemplary employee participation, owners participated in the economic upturn.
In 1957 the first pneumatic nailer was developed and introduced with success. The product quickly established itself as a fast and reliable fastening tool for trade and industry. The first pneumatic nailer was the basis for the successful development of the BeA brand in fastening technology. Application oriented, customer specific solutions and the development of new markets, the company grew continuously and went public in 1977. The Fischer-Zernin family took over the majority of the company in 2006. The strategic repositioning and strong internationalisation have made the company one of Europe's leading manufacturers of fastening technology for wood and wood like materials. BeA: a company with strong roots and a long term future strategy that thinks and acts in generations.
